We say goodbye to summer and hello to my favourite time of the year, (or possibly to an Indian summer!).
Make time of course to wrap up in cosy knits and sit down to your home grown roasted squash casserole but don't think you can push the garden out of your mind! Now is the time to plant daffodil and narcissus bulbs. For best results choose a sunny or lightly shaded spot with reasonably fertile and well drained soil- or scatter recklessly over a grassy area and plant them where they fall to create a more natural look.
